Domain name checker

Score a domain name before you buy it. We check length, hyphens, numbers, how easy it is to say, and the extension, and tell you if it's available.

What the score looks at

CheckWhy it matters
LengthEvery extra letter is a chance to mistype. Under 12 letters is ideal.
HyphensPeople forget them and type the version without, which may be someone else's site.
Numbers"4", "four" or "for"? Numbers fail the radio test.
PronunciationIf you can't say it clearly on a phone call, customers can't find it.
Extension.in and .com are the most trusted in India. Some cheap extensions are linked with spam.

Questions people ask

Is a shorter domain name always better?

Usually. Short names are easier to remember and type. But a clear 12-letter name beats a confusing 5-letter one.

Does this tool tell me what a domain is worth?

No. It checks how usable a name is, not what it could sell for.
